Students
KGIA will graduate students who will be equipped for long-term flourishing through the implementation of equitable practices related to community, care, rigor, and relevance. Students will graduate from KGIA with the ability to be independent, critical thinkers who advocate for themselves and others in their communities.
Our differentiated, rigorous, data-driven, standards-based curriculum prepares students for quality higher education and fulfilling life-long careers. Our students participate in local and overnight college trips and have access to in-person and virtual SAT preparation courses. Students also have extracurricular activities hosted by the Arab American Family Support Center and Girls Inc.
Students will take a diverse set of classes like Dance, Visual Art, Computer Science, Arabic, or French, along with a rigorous and challenging curriculum in the core subjects. Students will have access to a variety of Advanced Placement courses. At KGIA, technology is seamlessly integrated into all our courses and we provide 1:1 devices for all students. Due to our smaller class size, instruction is customized to challenge and support each diverse learner.
Goals
With students, staff, families and the local community as our foundation and educational equity and inclusion as our goal, we commit to quality instruction for each student. We are striving to transform systems that contribue to inequities. KGIA is actively building relationships that are intentional and reciprocal. The school wants to ensure communication which is honest, open and courageous.
